An Enlightened Code For All Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

An Enlightened Code For All

Rating: 5.0

like the three musketeers
were men Mahatma Gandhi
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr
each dedicated in struggles
historically tested in deeds
striving for equality justice
effecting all races of humanity
through non-violent protests

our love for all three is woven
in national global implications
as ideals about sacred civil liberties
legends sacrifices in freedom struggles
ripple effect within inspired hearts
our belief in all men created equal
truths self-evident all races genders
ages share skin colour in characters
which shall must resonate peace

enter our fourth musketeer
Mother Theresa in a different
kind of humanitarian class
focused upon needs of our poor
the responsibility of society
in addressing now the needs
of all of the least fortunate
honour our blessings remember
gifts God has bestowed upon

individuals favoured among us
upon nations favoured nations
nations favoured above nations
favoured above all other nations
question why first favoured these
nations were realize their prayers
their love compassion holy beliefs
affirmed 'There but for the grace
of God go thee and me' in charity

an enlightened moral universe
ever bends an arc declaring love
justice to all universal species
we affirm that poverty war will
have no foothold place justified
in a paradise earth we aspire too
we affirm we shall live by Sermon
on the Mount uphold acts of mercy
focus on love and humility for all
