An Endless Stride Poem by Kennedy Phadima

An Endless Stride

Rating: 4.0

How does it feel
to wake up in the morning
and not know why you wake up
To start a new day
and not know what to expect the next
To give all you got
and not recieve anything in return

They say the test for generosity
is not how much you give
but how much you have left

But giving and not recieving
eventually leaves you with nothing
and with nothing
comes emptyness
and with emptyness
comes loneliness
and with loneliness
comes desire
but desire is merely
the difference between
dreams and reality

And Oh!
How undesirable it is
when the ugly curtain
of reality closes down on me.
