An Empty Heart Poem by Melvina Germain

An Empty Heart

Rating: 5.0

His speciality was cupidity,
an empty heart for all to see.
When his days came to an end,
no love was found in prosperity.

Cupidity.....eager or excessive desire
for wealth, greed, avarice.

Oh! What a beautiful expression. Height of cupidity makes you bereft of an essential commodity called love. Isn't it a pity. Thanks for this wonderful poem, Melvina.
