An Emptiness Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

An Emptiness

Rating: 4.5

Awakening rhythms, slowing down, regretting being touched by an early morning sun beam.
Now, I must get up and begin to stir, yet I don't want to be reminded that I have to get through another day without my best friend.
A sadness forms and gels around my heart and mind, enveloping me in an emptiness where I will always remain lonely - alone in a senseless atmosphere of time.
Nothing to look forward to again - not even in future tomorrows.
