An Easter Song Poem by john tiong chunghoo

An Easter Song

Rating: 2.8

a chess to be played
victories and losses
to be taken
like gentlemen

the game is his
an ultimate plan
to make us gentlemen
of the best kinds

like how he gives
himself to us
on the Cross
a pain, a loss,
an eternal joy
a perfect gentleman

This is elegant verse that takes a well-worn subject and presents it in a disarmingly appealing way. Superb. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
