An Earnest Move Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

An Earnest Move

Rating: 4.8

Once we moved hand in hand
Vowed to live forever as a friend
Sun too graced our honest drive
Moon also blessed for long to survive

We prayed sun never to scorch
Even in noon heat not so much
We need not to go in for the search of shed
We needed his presence when actually wed

Who will not want bright light in a way?
To work very hand for promising day
Result may come not in desired pattern
It may be start of new life and happy u-turn

Luck would not have it and we have to depart
It was tragedy and considered it as integral part
Had we not wished a stable and durable journey?
Why bitterness couldn’t be removed by use of honey

Some where we erred for simple reasons
Suited as an ideal couple and very good persons
Hell was let loose on us in rainy season
We were bogged down and failed to learn lesson

We had earnest desire still failed to compromise
On every turn we longed to stand with all promises
It may still be the step considered to be wise
It might have proved a doom instead of rise

I wish to return to native place
I don’t believe in mad race
It is to be considered as simple case
There may be ups n down as temporary phase

Words can’t supplement the agony
Luxury can’t be brought by money
It is how we take and except the challenge
It is right to accept fact instead to for revenge
