An Arctic Chill Gives Way To Spring Poem by Marcus McKinley

An Arctic Chill Gives Way To Spring

Rating: 5.0

And you turned towards me
My heart taken by surprise
Piercing voids of darkness
With your winter eyes
Pale blue as winter skies
Beautiful as snowflakes
In the still frigid air

My soul agape I unwittingly stare
From the precipice my heart leapt
Avalanched by your boundless presence
A lexicon of love incensed
Melting upon tongue in governance
Pooling dreams your soul adept
At thawing hearts of loneliness

You are the proof that love exists
In this lonely world of darkness

Marcus, Very nice. Yes, it is grand to find someone, Special, in this World of Darkness. A 10, well deserved.
