An Angel Stood Before Me

Rating: 5.0

An angel stood before me
And looked me in the eye
And said 'no son '
'It's not your day to die'

'You may turn to be prophet
with the hands of god '
'OR you may serve the devil
By casting around his rod '

'You may never know
What's been planned for you '
'And these words I'm saying
You know too well are true'

'You may stand beside
Gods great throne'
'And like so many others
You will not be alone '

'You may hold on to
Gods great hand'
'Or you might be chosen
To play the angel band '

'You never know
Who's in the book of life'
'Or who gets easy streets
While others stuggle and strifes'

'We all have our troubles
We all have our trials'
'They are only tests of faith
Some to get you to read The Bible '

'God watches all
Both good and the bad '
'He picks up the weak
Wipes tears from the sad '

Just remember my friend
When you think you are through'
'No matter where you are
God loves, and is watching you! '
