An Angel's Lies Poem by Tiffany Rose Moczydlowski

An Angel's Lies

Rating: 5.0

Standing on the brink
Of freedom and demise
I let loose into the air
My lonely sorrow, all my pride,
The thought that you used to care

Echoes of my resounding grief
Bounce off of roofs, deaf ears
I let out all of my thoughts
With that one scream of despair
One I knew you'd hear

Upon the line between the sky
And the heartaching world below
I cannot help but break and cry
As hot tears fall on cold snow
I know you'll never notice

5 stories off the ground
The one littered with promises and lies
I stand up scared and wonder how
This all ran out of control
You used to be my wings
I hope you'll catch me
But as I fall I'm still alone
