An Angel Named Wendi Poem by renee kilbourne

An Angel Named Wendi

From the time you were concieved,
To the nine months you had to live,
When it came time on April 5th,
Finding out you were a still born,
So many tears falling,
People hurting.

At such a very young age,
God needed you more,
Which makes it all the better,
We may not understand why,
But its for the best,
Instead of waking up every morning,
You have your whole life to rest.

I wish you could have known mom,
How beautiful, wonderful, and amazing she is,
How she would have loved and cared for you,
She always says I have an angel watching over me,
I never knew what she meant.

But on October 6th she told me it all,
Now I understand everything,
Wishing you could be here with us now,
Cause I would have loved to have known you,
I never knew you could love someone,
You never met, but you proved to me I could.

I've always thought you had two angels,
One on the left and one on the right,
But I was wrong,
Cause all I have is one,
And its an angel named Wendi.
