**an Angel In The Graveyard** Poem by Anoushka Sinha

i once went to grieve,
on a stormy night....
with flowers in my hand,
hoping for insight....
about life & death,
& why i despise.....
to say goodbye,
when occasion arise....
the ground was filled with people,
beloveds in graves....
& yet it was so lonely,
with so many names engraved.....
everywhere i turned,
there were tombstones in sight....
but i stopped on the one,
the one that was right...
my beloved, my dear,
buried in ground....
it was what i always feared,
but it was bound....
to be like everything,
nature has planned....
i lay the flowers down,
with trembling hands.....
in a blurry vision,
due to tears in my eyes....
i sighted smone else,
who seemed to be in disguise...
another victim,
of the death's guide.....
i merely stood there,
& watched her while she cried..
i know i should be upset,
as i was visiting a kin who passed away....
but there was just smthng bout her,
that made me wanna dance like a blujay....
although she seemed agonised,
but i couldn't help myself but smile...
as time passed by i realised,
i've been standing there for quite a while....
what was wrong with me..?
how could i laugh on someone's pain?
it was just then when,
it suddenly started to rain....
i started runnig towards,
the nearst tree for shade...
then i eyed her standing there,
did'nt seem to need any aid....
the lightening shone,
& the thunder roared...
then she got up,
dusted herself & soared....
as i saw her,
turn into a creature...
so beatiful, so ravishing,
miracle of the nature....
& then i had an epiphany,
& i understood....
some things in life,
are the way they should....
what i realised is,
that cause i put down my guard....
i was able to witness,
an angel in the graveyard...
