I wish that there
Had been that day
An angel at her side

To show her that
There was great need
For me to say goodbye

She moved me out
Two rooms away
And blocked you from my sight

I walked in shock
With trust in her
I should have put up a fight

I stood in constant agony
Not knowing
Of your fate

I thought they'd come
To give me hope
But instead they came too late

They said that you
Had gone to quick
It shouldn't have happened this way

The lord is who
You met that day
So now I sit and pray

I pray that you
Did see my face
Before you closed your eyes

And knew your Momma
Loved you so
And wanted by your side

To know you left
Without me there
It broke my heart in two

I pray that God
Will take it now
And bring your half to you
