An Achievement Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

An Achievement

Suddenly
All my thoughts
Evaporated
And I reached
A state
Of emptiness.

How do I
Write
A poem
And call
Myself
A poet?

Forget about
The question
And consider
That the state of
Nothingness in itself
Is an achievement.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Yes, as Valsa-ji has pointed out this has the undercurrent of the philosophy of Buddha. Unchanging emptiness is the source from which all seeming changes appear to originate like butterflies and a poet, no doubt, captures them into his poetry from the couch of solitude. Good write, Sir.

It was in a state of emptiness that Sri Buddha achieved enlightenment! Emptiness is the breeding ground of great achievements! Quite philosophical!
