push me down into the dirt
I can take the fall
I can take the hurt

kick me with my head bowed low
I can take the beating
I can take the blow

punch me ill still stay tuff
I can take your punches
I can take this kind of stuff

you think that ill break
you think that ill scream
but I will stay strong
no matter how weak I seem

because
I will die
before you force me to cry
and I will stay broken and hurt
if it keeps my brother
out of the dirt

I can take your hits
with my head bowed low
I can take every beating
I can take every blow
I can take every punch you throw at me
because I know
one day I will be set free
