An Abiding Peace

There's a place inside my mind,
Accessible when I close my eyes,

Containing a peculiar smile
Reminiscent of some moments lapsed -

Moments long, but far too brief,
Though they're filled with an abiding peace;

Yours is the smile that occupies that place.
