Through chasms of time and eternity


I am at war, drowning at sea

Calling out your name to save me

Over the waters the silence screams

Lightning shatters electricity

These waves are crashing

Take my hand I think Im sinking further down
The oceans rise and I cant seem touch the ground
Am I dying I'm afraid i wont be found


Life is such a bitter comedy
Ninety ninety nine and so naive
You will never find a bigger fool than me

But I have crossed so many lines
Looking for you in the streets at night
Breathing in your name

Out of my hands in deep dark seas
What is this you have done to me
Mists reach from obscurity
Reaching for anything
to bring you back to me

Bottled in the sands of time
In the avenues of trees
Feel you next to me

If I could just make sense of all of this
Perhaps a map in an ancient manuscript
guide me to where you are
A distant shore and unknown stars
I swear this time I would not miss
The promise that I could not give
