American Holidays Poem by Sherif Monem

American Holidays

Rating: 4.0

There are many holidays in America
All over the days of the year calendar
Many for joyful and happy occasions
for patriotic and national reminders
The New Year and Martin Luther King
Washington's Birthday and Memorial Day
The Labor Day and the Veterans Day
One must not forget the most loved ones
The fourth of July for our independence
The marching parades and sky fireworks
The Thanksgiving for the harvest festival
at the early times of the pilgrim's settlers
joining their Plymouth local natives Indians
Thanksgiving celebrated commonly now with
family and friends with great turkey dinners
in city streets with beautiful joyful parades
Christmas is the holiday on December 25th
known for beautiful songs and chorales
the fancy awesome parades and tree displays
the Santa Claus in red dress and white beard
bringing gifts for kids on reindeer carriage
Christmas for love and peace on our earth
For wishful prayers for all world nations
Soon happy, happy January first new year
