Nothing is more exciting and American
And so useful and functional
Than the wonderful steam engine
A tremendously needed invention

When we think about how tough
It was long ago to get around
We can feel extremely lucky
For the inventions that were found

And of course there were great strides
As time and progress moved along
Easier and better methods
Creating a product that was strong

And of course there was the CAT
A machine that stood all alone
What would we do without it?
Construction was here it belonged

Yes, inventions go way back
As far as time began
But these pictures so progress
Created on American land!
