America Poem by Neela Nath Das

America

Rating: 5.0

People can sing here what's
In their heart, openly.
All rush there to get
Focused under the limelight.
Multifariousness is the strong
Feature of this nation.
Freedom is the best word
In their lyric.
'Now and never' slogan
Keeps pace with the race.
They may shape their lot
With the sharpness of leaves' blade.
They are Americans- - - - - -
No particular race, no creed,
no community.......

interesting perspective from the outside Perhaps Americans share a different type of community? Perhaps it even changes from region to region, from city to small towns... I've lived in different countries, I find much to love in all and in my dear America too, even with its scars, and bumps and bruises. Now, with that said, I deplore most govern-mental actions (not much mental there)

Interesting poem. Unfortunately I feel this once wonderful country is starting to slip a little........
