Am I More (A Song) Poem by Jade Leven

Am I More (A Song)

what a shame that on such a beautiful day
I'm asking this question that will change the way
you look at me, do you see anything at all
I'll listen to what you have to say, but you won't always be the one
who makes the calls

tell me, am I more than them
tell me, am I more than her
and looking back, do you have regrets
are you completely sure
that you want so little, darling
you could have everything if you showed up at my door
tell me, am I more

going back on promises that we both made
a friend for a lover, was that a fair trade
I don't even know who we were that day
but I wouldn't have given up the only thing I knew would stay

tell me, am I more than them
tell me, am I more than her
and looking back, do you have regrets
are you completely sure
that you want so little, darling
you could have everything if you showed up at my door
tell me, am I more

don't tell me that I need to get a grip
that I shouldn't ever slip
on words that hit so close to home
you know I never got over you
but I'm willing to try for you
if you want me to be alone

tell me, am I more than them
tell me, am I more than her
and looking back, do you have regrets
are you completely sure
that you want so little, darling
you could have everything if you showed up at my door
tell me, am I more

am I more, are they enough
do you want a kiss, or do you want love

what a wonderful song, I didn't need the music...remarkable for your age!
