Always There Poem by Keli Mims

[Written sometime in June for my best friend who left for a 6 week vacation in Eurpoe where he can't text or call or get online. I miss him so much! ]

I know I'm over here,
And you're way over there.
But you're here on my mind,
think hard take a look and you'll find,
My thoughts are always there.

If you ever feel so alone,
While you're so far from home.
It's not forever it's just a long time,
But we can make it, we'll be fine,
My thoughts are always there.

You'll still be there in my dreams,
It's actually better than it seems.
So go out, be happy, and have fun,
We're both under the same summer sun,
And of course my thoughts are always there.
