Always There Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Always There

Someone who was always there
in times of famine and of plenty
The person in my life who cared
Gone forever… my thoughts are many

Left standing here to recollect
and give thanks for all we had
The strength I have was absorbed
from your example… for that I am glad

Today you would have be one-hundred
If your days had continued to thrive
Remembering… with tears in my eyes
I smile… my love for you survives

Happy Birthday Mom!
