How can one contemplate hate
what is there to commemorate
is it fate or disillusion
is it regret or confusion

Yes i vow for D-day
and i pledge it The Day
lest we should forget
the freedom that we had

It is always War
what are we hiding for
the shame of doubtless guilt
the worlds that we have built

how can we cleanse our name
how can we reach for fame;
that everyone, yes you and me,
will always honour Liberty
