Always And Forever Poem by Serena Blackinton

Always And Forever

I'm almost certain the words echoing inside my head
Are lyrics from a song or words from a book I've read
But when you walk through the door I know that I belong
And I never want to leave you, without you I'm not strong...

When you hold me close I feel safe and protected
The warmth you share, is so readily projected
When you put your lips to mine I am lost forever
In the fairies' realm, the land of the never-never...

When you whisper in my ear I lose conscious thought
Of the day, the hour; the world itself means nought
When you smile, you wreak havoc upon my heart
And so it has continued since the very start...

In the middle of the night a part of you finds me
In my dreams, you and me, in the picture of serenity
You banish the ghosts and slay the demons inside
And it's essential I keep you by my side...

I love you with all that I am, and ever could be
You bring out everything that's good in me
Take my hand and we'll conquer the world together
You and me... always and forever…
