Alter Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Alter

You've
Taken me to church,
Through the alter of your smile,
The gleam of your eye that shines. Just as the sun,
Peeking through the large branches of trees,
Just as the morning dew kisses the grass,
A picture painted perfectly,
Each time you smile,
Short breathes, captured,
As they litter the sky as clouds,
A pause, for the few seconds I stood mesmerized,
In your presence,
