Alopogize Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Alopogize

I uh-loh-puh-jized to my mommy.
Then alopogized to my daddy.
But from both of them,
I got no acknowledgement for my alopogy.

I alopogized to my teacher,
And then to my preacher.
But from both of them,
I got no acknowledgement for my alopogy.

I turned to the Internet,
I spelled alogopy.
A word I never knew,
Popped out at me.

So I screamed and yelled,
To all concerned,
'I meant apology,
Apology,
Apology! '

And all four said,
'I apologize for not understanding you.
