Alone She Dances Poem by Eugene Michaels

Alone She Dances

Alone she dances through this desert
With no direction, just a promise
The bitter waters yield no comfort
Drifting dunes whisper blame

The hollow promise furrows footprints
And where they lead the heart will glide
Golden circles carved on blue sky
Black birds circle paths that die
