E.A. England

Rookie (beverly hills)

Alone

i don’t need him

and i don’t need her

solitary dependence

is what i prefer

i am strong enough

to stand on my own

i don’t need your help

i can do this alone

don’t tell me i can’t

‘cause i’ll prove that I can

i’ll show you how stubborn

that i really am

do not set my boundaries

you can’t cage me in

nothing can alter

the fire deep within

They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
