Alone Poem by Jay P Narain

Alone

Loneliness has many forms,
My loneliness is,
like a flickering candle,
in an empty home.

When I open the windows,
and try to gaze you in dark starry nights,
the mild gust of wind,
almost blows off my feeble kindle,
reminding me of my meaningless presence.

My candle is melting away,
my tears keep on freezing at the base,
In my solitude no one cares,
whether me or my feelings are slowly vanishing away.

Then one day you appear from nowhere,
you shield the glow of my feeble candle,
the candle burns steadily with radiance,
my heart beams with joy and glee.

When I was daydreaming of love and romance,
you suddenly disappear forever,
my candle is full of fear and insecure,
as the winds of life may finally blow it off for good.

I do not look into candle flames I do not look into my reflected eyes I do not dip my feet in sea waves I do not look up into the starry night sky I do not do a lot of things, all of which Remind me how lone I am and bring Tear drops to my eyes - Your Poem, makes me cry! How can you? How? I wonder! I felt the hot wax Roll down from your heart - It Pains me, the loneliness of the heart Familiar only to another lonely heart! A wonderful poem which sprung from The depth of your soul!

flickering candle in an empty home..... the weird feeling is transmitted when you ignited it, the solitude is still be felt in midst of chaos n commotion as it's a state of mind.... hopes lead us as to say...; my candle is full of fear and insecure as the winds of life may finally blow it off for good'... the passion is well conveyed. thanks for sharing......rgrds/salu
