Almost Home Poem by Simon Odhiambo

Almost Home

Rating: 2.5

You plants, why do you whisper?
And quickly pretend as I pass?
Is it the wind making you move
Or you move at will?

You wind, why do you mumble?
And quietly slide as plants bend to listen?
Is it me paranoid
Or you move at will?

You plant, you wind
Who makes this sound?

Almost caught you...Am closing in
Once am a soul, I will play part
Feed the plants my good body
Slide slowly, murmur and bend to listen

Then I will tell, I promise.
