You've always been here for me
Standing by my side
You always held me in your arms
When I screamed or cried
You helped me with my problems
And taught me right from wrong
When I was down
You helped me to be strong
You stood by me through good and bad
And you comforted me when I was sad
I thank you for all you've done for me
And I hope this poem will help you see
That when I grow up and this is true
I want to be just like you.
