All Things Taboo Poem by Cindy Thacher

The subject was delicate
would I elaborate?
I could not dictate
what they would negotiate
and later legislate
because I was no candidate
to propagate
what they tried to eliminate
from state to state,
If two of the same wish to fornicate
who tells them to dissipate?
Do the lawmakers hallucinate
or disassociate?
We all need to validate
and appreciate
those with the 'same' mate,
Until that date,
we can patiently wait,
And, now I dedicate this poem to all things Taboo
like bi-polar, epilepsy, schizophrenia, ms, cerebral palsy, etc, it could be you.
