All The Things Are Going On At Once Poem by Shalom Freedman

All The Things Are Going On At Once

ALL THE THINGS ARE GOING ON AT ONCE

All the things are going on at once-
Too many of them
And my mind cannot see in its present perception
The whole complicated web of them-
They are more than the Present
And yet the present itself is all that will ever express them-

I don’t want to die
But when I do
Worlds will go with me
That I never had a chance
To consciously connect and create-

Too bad perhaps
For my Infinity lost-

But there are other Infinities
Many many
And larger than mine-
And the losses
Are perhaps great as the Universe itself
Which too is largely a loss and a waste of connections
Unexpressed.
