All The Shades Of Grey Poem by Andrew Rose

All The Shades Of Grey

Rating: 3.0

When all I have turns to grey,
Im left with nothing but useless spray,
don’t pray,
don’t tell the truth,
just spoon-feed me lies and ill live on,

Maybe colour grows from the blackest of us all,
left in the hall,
where no one stays,
yet everyone goes just to be away.

The seas turning now as change always does,
yet I seem to be standing still and times not my friend,
it just shows me what I could have,
I miss you from the future and am pushed beyond myself simply because I cant deal with myself.

Brain dead,
dead,
so cold empty and sharp just doesn’t seem an end as pleasing as it may be,
180ks just leaves me restless with death and stupid from all the rest.

Waves crashing on the beach,
where past and future meet,
maybe ill be somewhere in between,
maybe ill own that beach or be begging with the waves to let them forget,
a man that never passed,
never left.

Leave me now with all the shades of grey, and ill give you a rainbow just don’t let time decay.
