All Over Again Poem by angela coon

All Over Again

Another night,
Another mistake,
Another night of screams.
But still the little girl sits in her room trying to block out the noise.
She kept her brother safe by reading to him.
But for her older sister it was just another night from hell.
All over again.
The little girl could hear her mothers yells,
And her sisters cry.
Maybe if she tried to help it would've stopped,
But it was just the same thing
All over again.
The little girl could hear her sisters helpless body pound against the door,
The little girl got up and looked threw the crack in the door just to see her mother pounding on her sister.
The little girl was scared,
But she knew that it would happen,
All Over Again.
