All Is Calm All Is Bright. Poem by Maria Shaw

All Is Calm All Is Bright.

I wear this ring with pride
this priceless treasure
holds countless memories
this band of gold
through which love flows.

Many have searched
for a bond so strong
through truth and trust and compromise
yet many break the silken threads
and soon the web is broken.

Words unspoken
problems ignored
resentment builds
the bind becomes flawed
storms subside into silence.

Thunderous cries intensify
lightening strikes everything in sight
all is calm, all is bright,
the air is clear, love is in sight,
after the rain comes comes intensified sunlight.

All is calm all is bright.
