All In A Day's Work Poem by Jon M. Nelson

All In A Day's Work

Up in the morning before it's even light,
They work all day, then go home at night.
Giving it all through the sweat and hurt,
For them, this is all just in a day's work.

Training hard they will earn their place,
With a sense of pride upon their face.
Men and women, they will work united,
Proudly they stand and never divided.

Defending 'Old Glory' every single day,
They're standing for the 'American Way'.
This is not your typical 9 to 5 career,
Everyday they know why they're here.

They do their job with honor and respect,
Because they know that they will protect.
Many hold them in the highest regard,
Because it's our nation that they guard.

They proudly salute the red, white, and blue,
Because it symbolizes exactly what they do.
The fate of our nation rests on their shoulders,
So be proud to depend on American Soldiers.
