You make me want to change myself,
You make me want to be the better man.
You make me want to change my ways
To have the courage to start again
And forget any flaw I ever had.
But all I really want to do is just to be with you.

You make me want to write these words,
You make me want to promise you the world,
You make me want to see the world in a different light
To forget all the darkness and cruelty
And embrace the beauty and good,
But all I really want to do is just to be with you.

Because, darling, just to be with you
Would be the happiest day of my life.
