Alison Poem by Trey Salm

Alison

Rating: 5.0

do memories bleed more than a fresh wound
am i mistaken, or have you been staging a coup
am i not to recall you left me first?
am i supposed to forget that you are much worse..
do broken hearts mend faster than minds
am i more than just a ploy to step behind
am i change for the better, or a cup full of the past
am i something as cliche as nice guys finish last
do my stories of love hurt, even if they past
can you recall how i always make them last
and when you scream and when you shout
i am always like a trout,
out of water of course
becasue pouting women are like a kettle, hot
hard to handle,
and causiously distraught
