Alcohol Heart Poem by Udita Garg

Alcohol Heart

keep your glasses with you
i do not need eyes of a lover
no wine i wish would be mine
nothing red. brown or blue
take away this false cover
of temporary intoxication
it only stays when
you are bitten by passion
an alcohol heart smiles
pumping the blood of happiness
of life the biggest drug
into my very veins
i a Bacchic follower enjoy life
little pleasures and deep smiles
the passion will stay forever
so will the love for life
and i will be under the sway
of this wine and no eyes.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
i don't promote liquor, i believe life in itself is the biggest intoxication and more so is happiness.
