Alcohol Poem by Nicole GravellPellerino

Alcohol

Rating: 0.5

How I loath you presence
in this cynical world
destroying the beauty
that once was
and stealind the blissful
innocence of childhood
caputring in your toxic hands
the grip of addictions
taking with you
the destruction of family and happiness
leaving behind a chaotic mess
of physical mental and emotional pain
battered wives and distraught children
left to fend for themselves
how I loath all that you do
forcing so many into premature adulthood
and forcing them to deal with issues
they're incapable of understanding
you're a poisonous tornado
destroying everything in your path
leaving the innocent to suffer
the consequences on another addiction

A very powerful piece this one. Yes, alcoholism does tear families apart. A sad fact. Can feel the anger, hurt, frustration in this write. Conveyed beautifully. Nice job!
