Alchemy Poem by Susan Gabriel

Alchemy

Gold to amber
Sapphire to agate

Light to shadow
Fruit to seed
Scattered sticks to shelters

Days of gathering up
Nights of letting go

Solstice to Equinox
Wheat to bread
Water to wine.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Autumn's mutations; its paradoxes. Just as those transformations within us at this time of change.

Almost sounds like a sorcerer's magical chant....If it works to get the water to become wine then...hey...well worth it eh?
