Air Out Of My Lungs And Out Of My Hands Poem by Harlan Lovestone

Air Out Of My Lungs And Out Of My Hands

Gooseberry pie
Pain shouldn’t last forever
Gooseberry pie
Like nursery rhymes and bad weather
Gooseberry pie
Something in your eyes makes me want to cry

Gooseberry Pie
Gooseberry Pie

It’s out of my lungs
And out of my hands
Air out of my lungs
Out of my hands

I can’t make this work
I can’t let this end
I can’t leave it alone
Where do I begin?

I feel out of touch
I feel out of step
I feel like I’m drowning
Now I ‘m crying out for help

It’s out of my lungs
And out of my hands
Air out of my lungs
Out of my hands

Gooseberry pie
Something in your eye
Makes me feel I have nothing to hide
Can’t we be together
And leave the darkness behind forever
I apologize for the time I wasn’t there when you needed to hide
All I want to do is piece us back together
Gooseberry pie
Pain shouldn’t last forever
Gooseberry pie
Like nursery rhymes and bad weather
Gooseberry pie
Something in your eyes makes me want to cry

It’s out of my lungs
And out of my hands
Air out of my lungs
Out of my hands

It’s lost in my words
Buried under my skin
Are you out of my life
Or holding with in

It’s out of my lungs
And out of my hands
Air out of my lung
Fallen through my hands
