Air Force Poem by Holly Somer

In a couple of months he'll go off to fight
And I'll be worrying through out the night
He'll be keeping himself ready starting off in the early day
While I write him a letter thinking of what to say
I'm scared he will get hurt and I wouldn't find out where he would go
God tell me he'll be ok
Days before he went off to camp he told me he was afraid
I couldn't tell him much
Just to keep his chin up and we'll keep in touch
I don't want to loose him
I don't think his family wants to either
So for now untill he leaves we are spending all the time that we can together
