Ahead Is Far Poem by Fatma Maleta

I tell myself that it's fine
That it will all be alright,
I tell myself to be strong
So as not to lose the fight
Cause all I know is that ahead,
ahead is really far.

I hope, I wait,
to be heard,
Just by anyone or someone out there,
But I guess ahead is far
Cause it's the future I can't predict,
The future is uncertain
Will I reach it
Cause what I see scares me,
As I look aroundand say that ahead is far
That's why I'm afraid to see of what awaits me,
Because to me, ahead, ahead is very very far.
