Ah Bluejay

Rating: 5.0

Your scanning eye doth ever see
The stalker of the chickadee--
Ah bluejay, in beauty bright,
A watchman of the feeder be --
In raucous cry and clumsy flight,
You warn the little birds to flee
The awful plight that often comes
With stalking dog and stealthy cat--
You're not the villain you're said to be,
Of watchman of the chickadee --
Many grateful little birds
Have your warnings overheard --
The measure of your beauty be
The softest "chip" of chickadee.

............a wonderful write...actually reminds me of the bluejay who swooped down several times to peck a cat, and try to frighten him away....bluejay's are quite brave ★
