Agony Of Love Poem by Alex McCullough

Agony Of Love

Each time when I walk pass you,
The beat of my heart becomes unpredictable.
You know how it is,
When your soul yearns for that special someone.
You want to tell the person,
But your hands won't let your words reach them.
So since you know how it is,
Then reach out to me before I get lost in the dark!
Sitting up in my bed late at night,
Counting the minutes like there's no tomorrow,
Never letting a moment go by,
Without including you in it somehow.
Deep and spiraling are these feelings,
As they continue to dive deeper into me,
Mezmerizing me with the images of you,
It's making it impossible for me to forget about you!
So please let me slip into a sleep,
One that can stop this agony of love,
From beating in my mind and heart,
Making it harder and harder to stop caring for you.
Playing with my love like it's nothing,
You know how reckless your being,
Yet you continue to do it,
Because you know it makes me love you more.
Like a mirror in the darkness,
It's impossible for me to tell,
If what your doing is because you feel the same,
Or because love is just that cruel.
But even if it breaks my heart,
And turns my feelings to dust,
I still won't get to sleep,
Because the agony of love won't let me stop loving you.
