Ageless Portrait Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Ageless Portrait

His secrets are preserved for eternity
His portrait is painted onto woven tension
Timeless hues capture qualities of enormity...
years compress into a flattened dimension

Placid eyes stare beyond confining limits
as through looking through stained glass…
concealing truth… unanswered questions remain
Church bells ring as time continues to pass

His hair does not thin or gray
A dimpled chin no longer needs a shave
His knowing smile has no refrain
It is now that his restless bones behave
