Against The Waves Poem by Avery Eglantine

Against The Waves

As the world changes
And the years passing by,
The time's faster as can be.

Sometimes sought thy self
Singing thine thoughts
In the midst of the sea

Through insisting thine self
To fall deep asleep
Sang was a song of Morpheus.

As the waves engulf me whole,
the roll of perpetual tide.
I felt the pain of leaving
and ecstasy of freedom.

Thither I realize, once in a lifetime
To wear someone's shoe is worth it.
yet petrified afore, await the wave in land,
Was to make a life not a true life.
