Aftermath Of Us Poem by Sean Toland

Aftermath Of Us

I write you poems,
I cook you dinners,
I buy your presents,
I buy you flowers,

i thought our love was exclusively ours?
I held your hand,
we held eachother,
leading to the promised land,

If your dropped,
I would break your fall,
when we got bad news we knew who to call,

I treated you well
I made you smile,
I wanted your company for another while,
I told you I loved you so consistent and strong,
and for these reasons, I must know where i went wrong?

I don't deserve to be left in the dark,
I can't believe you misplaced our spark,
I feel disgusting, I feel bad,
No one will ever understand the love we had.
